I’m excited to have been selected as one of the Women Artists of the West participants in the inaugural Woolaroc Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I will have three large scale floral paintings featuring botanical subjects from the American West. Opening events take place the weekend of May 4, 2024. The show remains on view through August 4.

(POSTPONED UNTIL 2022, dates TBD) I will be a featured artist during a two-person show in 2021 at the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitors Center, showing 15-20 new paintings of local California native plants. Details to come!
Three new paintings will be part of the Albuquerque Museum’s Arts Thrive annual show.
Desert Sunflower and Sand Verbena Superbloom wil be part of the OPA Salon Show at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville, GA. I’m thrilled to have the beautiful Anza Borrego Desert region represented in the American South.
“New Western Talent is the premier juried online exhibition highlighting up-and-coming 2-D artists focusing on landscape, cowboy, native and wildlife subjects, represented in styles varying from abstract to photorealistic and classic to contemporary. Artists were juried on a three-piece body of work.” (From western.gallery). Three of my native plant portraits, California Peony, Flannelbush Blooms and Bud, and Checkermallow were accepted into the show. They will be available to view and purchase from the Western Gallery website from May 28- June 28, 2021.
Sacred Datura at Sunrise is part of the 2021 AWA Virtual Show, Lifting the Sky. You can view the show and list of events online. The juried show features work by over 100 of America’s best women artists, and is part of the 25 in 25 campaign, to feature shows in 25 museums over 25 years. AWA chose to host the show online this year due to uncertainty surrounding COVID, but we are all looking forward to two museum shows next year.
Dudleya II is being shown at Principle Gallery in Charleston, SC as part of NOAPS Best of America Small Works show. I’m very excited to have on of California’s native plants represented far from home, especially at a time when awareness is being raised about poaching of these plants from the wild, and hope for protection.
The spring Flora and Fauna Show has been postponed until October 2020.
Spring Creosote Blooms was selected as one of 113 paintings and sculptures to be shown at the Booth Western Art Museum this summer. The painting was given an Award of Excellence. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the show has been changed to a virtual format, opening on May 27 and running through August 23, 2020. The Booth Museum is the largest permanent exhibition space for Western Art in the country. You can view the show on the AWA website or the Booth Museum website. All work is for sale through the Booth Museum by contacting Pam Hessenbruch (pamh@boothmuseum.org).
Indian Paintbrush at Fallen Leaf Lake was accepted in to the 35th Yosemite Renaissance art show, celebrating the Yosemite and Sierra Nevada region of California. The opening reception and award ceremony will be on Friday, February 21st from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The gallery is currently closed, Once the show reopens and the artwork travels to its next venue, this page will be updated.
My painting Desert Chicory Among Desert Pincushion was selected for the Oceanside Museum of Art Artist’s Alliance show “In the Moment”. The show will open on January 7, and an artists reception will be held on Saturday, January 11 from 6-8pm.
The Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th is open Monday - Saturday from 11am - 4pm, and 6-9pm on Tuesdays.
The Mission Trails Regional Park has a holiday group show of small works for the month of December. I will have some small paintings in the show. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, December 8 from 2-4pm. All art is priced under $400 and 50% of all sales go to the MTRP Foundation to support the park. I hope you can come see the show and find a small work to take home for the holidays. Original art makes a great gift!

Dead or Alive was accepted into this prestigious exhibition featuring work by 111 of the best contemporary women artists in America. I will be attending the artist’s reception on Friday, June 28 from 6-8pm at the Steamboat Art Museum. The artwork will be viewable online at www.americanwomenartists.org during the show.
The painting Hummingbird Sage was accepted in to the Oceanside Museum of Art’s Artist Alliance show at Sparks Gallery in downtown San Diego. The show, titled Creative License, will run from April 27 through July 7. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 6-9pm. Guests must RSVP for the reception on the Sparks Gallery website. I will be attending the reception, and hope to see you there!
I will be painting in one of the gardens featured on the California Native Plant Society’s San Diego chapter garden tour on Sunday, April 14 from 10am - 4pm. The garden tour will take place on both Saturday and Sunday of that weekend. For more information, and to buy tickets, please visit the CNPSSD website. I highly recommend this garden tour to learn more about native California plants and how incredible they can look in a home garden. Much of the inspiration and source material for my artwork comes from my own native plant garden.
