The creamy white blooms of Chaparral Yucca (Hesperoyucca whipplei) are one of my all time favorite native flowers. I’ve painted them numerous times, and never tire of their soft glow and purple tinged edges. I can hear the bees and feel the warm spring sun just looking at this painting.
